"Dong Do is a hidden gem in Budapest – a charming and cosy restaurant that truly lives up to its stellar reputation. I came back multiple times during my recent stay, and each dish I tried was fantastic. The standout, though, is the service. The server is incredibly sweet and welcoming – she made me feel right at home and well taken care of. Her warm hospitality really elevates the experience. The menu features a wide variety of Asian dishes, with plenty of options for customising based on your preferences. You can choose from a range of proteins, including vegetables, tofu, chicken, crispy chicken, beef, duck, shrimp, vegan chicken, and vegan duck. Plus, they’re happy to remove ingredients you don’t like – perfect for anyone with specific food preferences like mine. One standout dish for me was the Com Sot Lat, a peanut-buttery rice dish with tofu that was absolutely delicious. The rich, creamy peanut flavour combined with the texture of the rice and tofu was incredible. I tried a different dish each time I visited and was consistently blown away by the flavours – each meal was as good as the last. As a first-time sushi eater, I also tried the avocado maki and loved it so much that I ended up ordering it as a side dish during nearly every return trip. The freshness and quality were consistently impressive. Dong Do truly deserves all the praise it gets – it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Budapest. Highly recommended!"

"very cozy and cute restaurant (could be a bit small if crowded). the waitress is extra adorable and friendly! we had a whole conversation and talked till later. super recommend the “Udon thai cury”, “Bun bo nam bo” and “COM THIT KHO TAU”. i saw lots of reviews for the first 2 but the long cooked pork with rice is so underated!! everybody should try that once! the waitress also told me that it is one of the most authentic dish that appeared in every Vietnamese’s daily dine. i forgot to take pics of it but it comes with a boiled egg and some salads too! however, there are only the husband and wife doing the cook so it might take a bit time if its got people :)!"
